I feel so wonderful now that 2013 has started. The past few weeks ever since Thanksgiving have been terrible for me and to be honest, I hardly know what was wrong. All I know is that I needed to have a nice chat with my mom, change my way of thinking, and read the February issue of Teen Vogue, the January issue of Alternative Press, the Editor’s Letter in the January issue of Inked and the January issue of Glamour, the first Self-Expression issue. These magazines came at the perfect time and reiterated everything I had been thinking all of New Years Eve.
What I’ve decided is: 2013 is going to be my year. I’m going to make it my year. Never once before in my life have I said this at the beginning of the year because it didn’t feel right. I felt almost like I was lying to myself. But this year, I know it’s true.
- If you asked me for my New Year Resolution, it would be to find out who I am. –Cyril Cusack
- Accept what people offer. Drink their milkshakes. Take their love. –Wally Lamb
- Character is the ability to carry out a good resolution long after the excitement of the moment has passed. -Cavett Robert
- I know. I’m lazy. But I made myself a New Years resolution that I would write myself something really special. Which means I have ’til December, right? –Catherine O’Hara
