I do not know how to deal with disappointment. I sometimes complain for hours, other times I just mope around or I walk around and doubt every little thing. The reason I was so disappointed today was I was unable to meet with my Mother’s friend, Pat. We were going to meet a Panera in Canton where I planned on ordering a latte and I was going to try their soup for the first time. Well, I truly love seeing Pat because she is always so kind and a very wonderful woman to talk to. My Mom was very paranoid about the snow (which turned out much lighter than anticipated), but I just wish she had listened to me (like everyone else always should, but never do) and heard me when I said, “I don’t think it’s going to snow much if at all.”
But through it all I learned that I must be kinder and more understanding when it comes to my Mom and her fears.
